IT'S ONLY ROCK'N'ROLL (BUT I LIKE IT)

Adoro os Rolling Stones. Mas apesar de ser carioca e morar no Rio, eu prezo a minha integridade física e não vou ao show de Copacabana. Estive no show do Maracanã da turnê Voodoo Lounge em 1995 e me dou por satisfeito (yeah, I got satisfaction!). Estou ouvindo Stones o dia todo, em discos, clips, filmes. E vou ver o show pela TV. Como não sei baixar música (sim, acredite, eu não baixo mp3 no meu computador!) selecionei as letras das canções que mais gosto da banda pra marcar esse dia. Quem tiver as duas em mp3 e quiser/puder colocar aqui, eu agradeço!

YOU CAN’T ALWAYS GET WHAT YOU WANT

I saw her today at the reception
A glass of wine in her hand
I knew she was gonna meet her connection
At her feet was her footloose man

you can't always get what you want
You can't always get what you want
You can't always get what you want
But if you try sometime you might find
You get what you need

I went down to the demonstration
To get my fair share of abuse
Singing, "We're gonna vent our frustration
If we don't we're gonna blow a 50-amp fuse"

You can't always get what you want
You can't always get what you want
You can't always get what you want
But if you try sometimes well you just might find
You get what you need

I went down to the Chelsea drugstore
To get your prescription filled
I was standing in line with Mr. Jimmy
And man, did he look pretty ill
We decided that we would have a soda
My favorite flavor, cherry red
I sung my song to Mr. Jimmy
Yeah, and he said one word to me, and that was "dead"
I said to him

You can't always get what you want
You can't always get what you want
You can't always get what you want
But if you try sometimes you just might find
You get what you need
Oh yes
You get what you need--yeah, oh baby

I saw her today at the reception
In her glass was a bleeding man
She was practiced at the art of deception
Well I could tell by her blood-stained hands

You can't always get what you want
You can't always get what you want
You can't always get what you want
But if you try sometimes you just might find
You just might find
You get what you need

You can't always get what you want
You can't always get what you want
You can't always get what you want
But if you try sometimes you just might find
You just might find
You get what you need

PAINT IT BLACK

I see a red door and I want it painted black
No colors anymore I want them to turn black
I see the girls walk by dressed in their summer clothes
I have to turn my head until my darkness goes

I see a line of cars and they're all painted black
With flowers and my love both never to come back
I see people turn their heads and quickly look away
Like a new born baby it just happens ev'ry day

I look inside myself and see my heart is black
I see my red door and it has been painted black
Maybe then I'll fade away and not have to face the facts
It's not easy facin' up when your whole world is black

No more will my green sea go turn a deeper blue
I could not foresee this thing happening to you

If I look hard enough into the settin' sun
My love will laugh with me before the mornin' comes

I see a red door and I want it painted black
No colors anymore I want them to turn black
I see the girls walk by dressed in their summer clothes
I have to turn my head until my darkness goes

Hmm, hmm, hmm,...

I wanna see it painted, painted black
Black as night, black as coal
I wanna see the sun blotted out from the sky
I wanna see it painted, painted, painted, painted black
Yeah!

Revi "O Reencontro" do Lawrence Kasdan de tarde e toca essa música no funeral do Alex. É triste e lindo ao mesmo tempo. Essa música me emociona muito! :-))

  4. Legal!!!! :-))

    Beijos!
